At Euroluce 2025, Astro showcased new finishes designed to withstand harsh weather conditions, combining durability with timeless elegance. Rigorously tested, it features an innovative PVD Brass finish and robust materials, including marine-grade stainless steel, ceramic and concrete, ensuring long-lasting performance.
The new PVD Brushed Brass finish allows the warm tones of brass to be used outdoors. In contrast to traditional brass, which ages rapidly in the open air, this long-lasting finish features a tough PVD coating that resists heat, scratching and tarnishing, as well as offering enhanced defence against corrosion. Featured on the Ava and Montreal wall lights, PVD Brushed Brass retains its lustrous, just-out-of-the-box look even in saline environments. The PVD finish is achieved through a meticulous process using vaporized titanium, which is deposited on the metal in a fine layer. Achieved without using polluting chemicals, this makes the product more sustainable than using conventional metal-plating techniques.
