Synergy between two materials

The Bau door-handle was designed to feature two contrasting materials, one of which is now marble.

The handle’s origins lie in a workshop organised by the long-standing German porcelain company Kober, which contacted Olivari for its technical know-how.

“We were inspired by the Bauhaus,” say Nina Ruthe and David Antonin of Design Studio Niruk.

“We wanted simple, pure geometrical shapes that would work together as different materials. Technology was reduced to a bare minimum. Drawn brass originally combined with extruded porcelain and now with marble, join together with an elegant junction".

Handle for door in the version with low round rosette/escutcheon and for the window with cremonese, DK and DK by security.
Available in the finishing: Bright chrome + marble, Satin chrome + marble and SuperAnthracite satin + marble.
Marble is available in the finishing: Altissimo white, Versilys grey and Marquina black.
